Life of purpose

  The history of religion is full of upstarts who started out making dubious claims of divine revelation but ended up shaping history in profound ways. The late Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) was one. I have severely criticised him in the past for some of his practices, and I thought he should have suffered legal consequences for the more than 100 deaths from a collapsed structure in his church headquarters. But I also think that what he achieved as a man of the cloth deserves to be situated within the broader context of Nigeria’s Pentecostalism history. When his critics say that he had occult powers and that he achieved all he did through satanic powers, they give away their perennial inability to think of issues outside supernaturalism and also deny Joshua credit for his savvy understanding of social management.   Have seen this picture a thousand times, have personally experienced their pain as an ordained Minster I have travelled inside this boats to preach to people from this community they have told me if ONLY YOU CAN BUY A SINGLE PAIR OF PAMPER FOR MY SON I WILL FOLLOW YOU TO CHURCH 😢😢😔.  I seen the wealth and degradation in this community especially flaring etc . I wonder do the leaders of the Niger delta have conscience? We own the land ,oil yet we don't have any oil company bigger than chevron or shell even in ongoing bidding for oil block no Niger delta state is bidding but the governor's use their proxies to bid for themselves. worst part they bid for contracts in the major oil companies to live vain lives while their followers suffer. The terrible part is the ignorant youth instigate war against their perceived enemies  the itsekiris & ijaws😢.  When are we going to realise that our leaders are the real enemies?
